Since its foundation in 1958 roma is specialised on the production of high-quality knitted fabrics. 40 modern round knitting machines are producing these fabrics. The fabrics are certified according to OEKO-Tex® Standard 100. Around 40 % of the production are knitted fabrics for ladies wear, workwear and toys. The rest are technical and heating textiles.

Acoustic textiles
For the covering of loudspeaker-frames and sound-systems roma offers special acoustical textiles. These textiles guarantee a high sound permeability combined with looking density. If needed they are designed with ultrasonic and infrared transmittance. As result they may be used for consumer electronics integrated in furniture in order to ensure their usefulness with remote controls.

Elastic electric heated knitted fabric
For the electric heated fabric a flexible conductive yarn is knitted in a round knitted fabric with a patented production method. The fabric is contacted by a thin woven textile or metal band. The fabric reaches temperatures of 30°C up to 100°C in the low voltage area according to different applications.
