Gebr. Elmer & Zweifel, founded in 1855, is specialized for cellulosic fiber fabrics. Since 2003 the focus lies on sustain­ able fabrics. The main offer is a huge range of different fab­ rics made of organic fairtrade cotton. We specify and control the whole value chain from the field until the product with the goal of highest quality.

The fabrics are used for fashion, corporate wear, home textiles, care textiles, textiles for industrial use, medical use and use in agriculture.

The sustainable fabrics are sold under the trademark Cotonea inside. Possible labels are: IVN BEST, GOTS, Fairtrade Fair­-for­Life.

Cotonea inside – for sustainable organic textiles

• with water repellant finishing avoiding flour carbon chemistry
• mass per unit area 210 – 290 g/m2, different weaves • various attractive colors
• Use for jackets, trousers and accessories with outdoor use. The fabric has the comfortable properties and touch of a usual cotton fabric, but it’s able to resist against rain for a certain time.
• The fabric can be washed multiple times and after iron­ ing the water repellant property is renewed, no need for cumbersome after waxing, no bright creases.
• Useable with “Cotonea inside” to communicate all Cotonea values
