FROM THE IDEA TO THE PROTOTYPE
The introduction of a new production technology for more performance-capable steel fibers by using durable steel strip as a material. In 2013 work began on developing solutions for the concrete-processing industry and evaluating special application fields such as: Solid walls, concrete supports or industrial floors.
FROM THE PROTOTYPE TO THE MARKETABLE STEEL FIBERS
Parallel to the development of the production system, the scientific examinations of the respective performance classes of the first prototypes started as well as the test productions in June 2015. On the way to excellent product quality, numerous new tools were development in-house and produced in a customised process for Feel Fiber.
THE FF-FIBRE:
Initial results from test series confirm that concretes with FF- fibres exceed the upper performance class limits specified in the ‘DAfStb-Richtlinie von Stahlfaserbeton’. Even when large quantities of FF-fibres (100 kg/m3) are added, the fresh concrete remains easy to process and can be pumped without difficulty. Concretes with FF-fibres have very good ductility properties (breaking elongation properties). A reduction of conventional reinforcement for parts with complex geometry is possible.
