In cooperation with Zweigart & Sawitzki, C-Con is dedicated to the sustainable, corrosion-free reinforcement of concrete, with composite components made of basalt fibers. The range of services includes:

Textile-reinforced concrete with basalt

Not only do bridges last longer: textile-reinforced concrete with basalt fiber reinforcements. It has considerable advantages over conventional steel reinforcement:

• High corrosion resistance
• More tensile, and lighter than steel reinforcements
• This type of reinforcement requires significantly less concrete (less costs, faster construction time, less heavy vehicle traffic to construction sites)
• Due to the very low thermal conductivity cold bridges cannot arise
• The high electrical resistance enables applications in high-voltage environments
