Fiber Patch Placement (FPP) is the advanced technology for the automated fiber lay-up of geometrically complex composites and reinforcements. Defined fiber pieces (patches) are automatically cut from a tape and accurately positioned on a previously calculated position with the aid of two robots and a flexible patch gripper.
