Baur Vliesstoffe, which was founded in Dinkelsbühl, Bavaria in 1913, has over 100 years of experience in the processing of wool. Since 2010, they have been developing and producing WOOPIES there. A high level of innovation and many years of experience with the raw material make the woolly acoustic elements by Baur Vliesstoffe, a high-quality design object. Numerous projects, which focus on sustainability, speak for themselves. Architects and specialist dealers who believe in the functions and simplicity of the panels, include WOOPIES in their planning. Baur Vliesstoffe GmbH has been family- owned from the start, and is now under fourth generation management, by the brothers Christian and Friedrich Baur.
WOOPIES are modern acoustic panels, which are made out of swisswool by Baur Vliesstoffe in Dinkelsbühl. The excellent properties of the natural virgin sheep’s wool can hardly be imitated synthetically: for example, the surface of the wool fiber absorbs sound over a wide frequency spectrum. Therefore, WOOPIES lend a cozy feeling of well-being to every interior – whether in an open loft office or in a cozy restaurant. The choice of colors, which range from subtle to magnificently brilliant, turns the multifunctional elements into real eye-catchers. Creative installations, as ceiling sails, room dividers, wall panels or desk attachments provide a range of solutions for various acoustic problems.
